About me
Hi, I'm Jules
I'm currently studying Fine Art at Falmouth University, expanding my contemporary practice while taking commissions alongside my degree.
I specialise in bringing your photos to life. Let me take your favourite moments from your camera roll and turn them into a one of a kind piece of art to treasure forever.
Most of my work is portraiture: pets first and foremost, but also people, family homes and the places that mean something to someone. I work in watercolour, acrylic, coloured pencil and graphite, plus oil pastel for landscapes, and I'll happily recommend a medium once I've seen your photographs. Every finished piece is signed.

How to book a commission
Five steps, start to finish
Nothing is confirmed until you're happy with the subject, the size, the medium and the price. A 50% deposit is taken once it is.

Get in touch
Fill in the form below, email me or send a DM. Tell me what you'd like painted and when you need it. I'll say honestly whether I can make the date.

Send your photos
Clear, well-lit pictures work best. Send the photo exactly as you'd like the painting to look. I paint what's in it, background included.

Agree it & pay the deposit
Pick your size and medium, I'll confirm the price, then a 50% deposit books your place in the queue.

I paint it
Your piece is painted by hand from your photographs. I'll send you updates along the way if you'd like to see it come together.
- 5
Approve, settle up & receive
You see a photo of the finished piece first. Once you're happy and the remaining balance is paid, it's signed, packed and sent out to you. Framing is available at an extra cost. Just ask for a price.

Most commissions are presents, so a piece can leave here finished: framed, wrapped and tied with a ribbon, like the portrait beside this.
Tell me it's a gift when you first get in touch and I'll make sure it arrives that way. Everything is packed carefully for the journey, glass and corners protected, so it can go straight under a tree or across a table without you having to do anything to it first.

More than one subject
Two dogs, a whole family, a house with the dog on the step. Message me with your photo and I'll quote for it.
Framing is extra
The prices above are for the artwork itself. Several of the pieces above were framed before they went to their owners. Framing is an added cost on top, so ask me for a frame price when you enquire. Postage and payment, just ask too.

Sending your photos
There's nothing to upload here. Just reply to my email with your pictures attached.
- Clear and well lit Natural daylight is best. Take it at eye level with the face and the eyes in focus, and avoid harsh flash or heavy shadow.
- Send it exactly as you want it painted I paint what's in the photograph, background and all. If something shouldn't appear in the finished piece, it shouldn't be in the photo you send.
- More than one is fine Send a few and I'll tell you which works best, or which details I can borrow from the others.
Paying: once I've replied and we've agreed the subject, size, medium and price, a 50% deposit secures your commission and I'll start work. The remaining 50% is paid when it's finished and you've seen it, and then it's sent out to you.
